Soha Ali Khan contemplates penning Sharmila Tagore’s biography; says, “I don’t know if I’d be able to share everything about her as a child”

Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan is considering a profound literary project: writing the biography of her iconic mother, Sharmila Tagore. In a recent interaction with PTI, Soha disclosed her aspirations to pen down the life story of the legendary actress, a venture that’s both close to her heart and home.

While Soha is enthusiastic about the idea, she acknowledges the challenges inherent in writing about such a prominent figure, especially one who is her own mother. She said, “I would love to. It’s so close to home though… When people read them, they will be like ‘would they be able to share the grey aspects of this personality because you are their child.”

Given her unique vantage point as Sharmila Tagore’s daughter, Soha contemplated the depth and authenticity her portrayal can achieve. “So, I can write a story about her, but I don’t know if it would do justice to all the facets of her personality, and I don’t know if I’d be able to share everything about her as a child. Honestly, I would like to tell that story,” she remarked.

On the film front, Soha Ali Khan is a part of the horror film franchise Chhori 2 starring Nushrratt Bharuccha in lead.
