Kriti Sanon says she and Dhanush created ‘magical moments’ in Tere Ishk Mein; says, “He really brings out a lot of layers in his character”
With excitement soaring for Tere Ishk Mein, Kriti Sanon has now given fans more reason to anticipate the film’s release. As the trailer continues to win praise and AR Rahman’s album trends across platforms, the buzz around the Dhanush–Kriti pairing is stronger than ever — especially with audiences calling their unexpected chemistry one of the film’s biggest surprises.
Opening up about working with Dhanush for the first time, Kriti revealed how their shared creative energy helped shape some of the film’s most memorable moments. She said, “I think Dhanush is an incredible actor, I have always been an admirer of his talent and his craft. I feel he has a very strong hold on his craft… He really brings out a lot of layers in his character, and I was very excited to work with him. I knew I’m going to have an actor who I can really feed off from… that is exactly what happened.”
She further reflected on how their real-life unfamiliarity helped them embody Shankar and Mukti’s early dynamic. “And we had not met before, and even Shankar and Mukti in the film at a point had not met before, so that worked out!” she added.
Speaking about the intense scenes they performed together, Kriti continued, “We have some really intense scenes, a lot of really long scenes that can, you know, translate when both of us feed off each other. He’s really collaborative as an actor and really helpful. I think together we have created some magical moments and felt it when the scene happened. Both of us would look at each other and we were like, ‘That was a good scene!’ I have really enjoyed working with him and I hope we do a lot more work in the future.”
As anticipation builds for Shankar and Mukti’s passionate on-screen journey, Tere Ishk Mein is fast emerging as one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year.
