Milap Zaveri calls Harshvardhan Rane “driving force” behind Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat: “Very rarely an actor immerses himself into…”
Director Milap Zaveri expressed admiration for Harshvardhan Rane in a social media post shared on November 22, 2025, calling the actor an essential creative force behind Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. The filmmaker said Rane’s involvement went far beyond acting, as he actively contributed to the film’s writing, editing, and overall vision.
Zaveri wrote that it was rare to see an artiste “immerse himself into a role so completely,” adding that Rane’s commitment continued long after the film’s release. Along with his message, he shared a behind-the-scenes photograph of the actor from the film’s set.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat released a month ago and has sustained a strong run at the box office. Reflecting on the film’s journey during a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Rane spoke about its challenges, including the ‘A’ certificate and a limited screen count. He said he chose to understand the reasoning instead of criticising it.
“When we got an ‘A’ rating or even when we got fewer screens, I went into the reason behind it. Instead of complaining, I told myself, ‘The other film (Thamma) is made at a budget of Rs. 175 crores or maybe Rs. 200 crores. Jitna bada maal hai, utni zyada dukaanein chahiye usse bechne ke liye’. Every film has the same time period to score at the box office. So, that’s why they needed more theatres. Fair enough,” he said.
While Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat continues to enjoy its successful run, Milap Zaveri has already moved to his next project. The director is back in headlines for Mastiii 4, featuring Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi.
