Shah Rukh Khan speaks on being directed by Aryan and acting with Suhana: “I respect them like my colleagues”

Two days before his 60th birthday, Shah Rukh Khan delighted fans by hosting a surprise #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter). The superstar, known for his spontaneous humour and warmth, interacted with fans on a range of topics — from his upcoming projects to his children’s work — making it one of his most engaging sessions yet.

When a fan asked SRK how it feels to have been directed by his son Aryan Khan in his directorial debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood and to now be acting alongside his daughter Suhana Khan in King, the actor gave a thoughtful response. He said, “On sets, I respect them like my colleagues and appreciate their inputs and hard work. Off sets, I just wish and pray their hard work pays off.”

In another fan exchange, when asked if Aryan would ever direct him in a full-fledged film, SRK replied with his signature wit, “If he can afford me, and my tantrums.” The actor also reacted to a request for The Ba***ds of Bollywood Season 2, saying, “It is very difficult to tell your children what to do. But I am sure he will be working on it.” When asked about his favourite moment from Aryan’s debut series, he revealed, “The ending was so unexpected!”

As for King, Shah Rukh Khan’s much-discussed upcoming film with Suhana Khan, the actor recently clarified that the project’s teaser will not be released on the occasion of his 60th birthday, even though speculation around it has been building for months.
